I just ordered a solid black kilt from stillwater. I've never ordered from the them before, but the rabble over at x-marks seems to think they do a good job for inexpensive off-the-rack kilts. The kilt is wool and black with their "shadow tartan" design. I'll post more once it arrives!

I think you'll be please with the Stillwater kilts. I have two, a Nightstalker and a Black Stewart and they're comfortable and great to wear. They may not be 100% or "real Scottish" kilts, but they hold their shape well and no one who hasn't worn a kilt will know the difference. Hope to see pictures soon!

It just arrived yesterday! I'll most likely wear it in tomorrow and get a photo. I definitely like it. My only complaint is that the pleats are very shallow. Ce la vie.
